No Simple Highway by SomeRiseSomeFall
This album, “No Simple Highway”, brings together artists Anna Mitchell, John Blek, Kevin Herron, Marlene Enright, and Rowan with producer Brian Casey and videographer Allie Glynn and artist Riona O’Regan to reimagine & re-inspire, record, and shine on a light to capture universal challenging emotions in relation to loss, grief, and enduring love.
Biologically Blue ft John Blek (EP)
John released his fifth solo album "The Embers" in February 2020, It was recorded in its entirety at Wavefield Recordings, Clonakilty with Brian Casey Producing/Engineering and musical contributions from Mick Flannery, Matthew Berrill (Ensemble Eriu) and Davie Ryan (Notify, Atlantic Arc Orchestra).
Thie EP brings together a track "Biologically Blue" from SomeRiseSomeFall's forthcoming second album "No Simple Highway" and two songs "The Munitions Maker" and "Posion Tree" originally recorded by Greg Trooper, Country Joe McDonald and The Milk Carton Kids respectively that we recorded featuring John Blek with the musical assistance and production genius of Brian Casey.
A re-mastered version of the lead track will feature on "No Simple Highway" set for release in February 2021. The other two tracks were recorded during the lockdown and are exclusive to this release.

Some Climb by SomeRiseSomeFall
SomeRiseSomeFall released their debut album 'Some Climb' in 2017 featuring Annette Buckley, Edel Sullivan, Ger Wolfe, Hank Wedel, and Martin Leahy. It used the musical beauty to shine a light on those dealing with mental health challenges and those people in Direct Provision.
Since then, this work has bolstered via Community Support Resources, a community-based initiative established by Michael Fitzgerald, the guiding light of SomeRiseSomeFall, supporting organizations working in the area of mental health, asylum seekers and connecting socially marginalized people and the music from the album has been featured in a number of videos supporting initiatives such as Limerick Suicide Watch and Shine.
