"No Simple Highway"
SomeRiseSomeFall is an independent community of songwriters, musicians, and creatives. The ever-evolving collective brings together artists and vocalists all with the aim to interpret & reimagine songs for unique new recordings. Their most recent album released in February 2021 was an album of the week on a number of radio stations and was released to unanimously positive reviews. They hope to perform the album to live audiences later in the year.

Here John reimagines “I Remember You” a song by Americana legend and "Queen of the Minor Key" Eilen Jewell who responded so positively to the song and the project writing “
It's amazing! I love that it's a unique version that's faithful to what I did but notan exact replica. You really did the song justice, you're doing the world some justice, and I'm honored to be associated with your project. The whole album has such a nice sound. I love the tasteful production, the overall vibe, the solid playing...really great”.
SomeRisesomeFall's project director Michael Fitzgerald has produced a video in the former of a compassionate letter to a younger traumatised self to accompany the the single
FITZZ Records funds community projects with all proceeds going towards assisting organisations to help those facing mental health and other challenges.
All proceeds from the single will go to Homeless charity "Cork Simon Community"
